Budapest will not execute an International Criminal Court arrest warrant against Netanyahu

Budapest has announced that it will not execute on its territory an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if the International Criminal Court (ICC) ultimately proceeds with the issuance of this warrant. Karim Khan's prosecutor announced on Monday that he had requested arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallad for crimes including “intentionally causing civilian starvation,” “intentional murder” and “extermination and/or murder.” At the same time, he requested the issuance of arrest warrants for three Hamas leaders for similar crimes. The Hungarian minister in addition to the prime minister, Gergely Gulias, told reporters in Budapest today that Hungary would not arrest Netanyahu if he were to visit the country.
