According to Samsung, the Quantum Mini LED panel is 40 times thinner than a traditional LCD panel. Quantum Mini LED uses thin layers with more LEDs instead of lenses to scatter light and pixels. Quantum Matrix technology provides precise control of densely packed LEDs to prevent glare.

Neo QLED technology increases the brightness scale to 12-bit with 4096 gradations. This makes the dark areas of the image darker and the light areas brighter for more accurate reproduction of HDR content.

The Neo QLED uses the patented Neo Quantum processor with advanced scalability. Using up to 16 neural networks, each trained in intelligent upscaling technologies and supporting deep learning, the Neo Quantum Processor can optimize image quality for 4K and 8K image output.

The 2021 Samsung Neo QLED 8K TVs feature a new Infinity One design with an almost bezel-less screen. The Slim One Connect Box for wire management can be stowed away at the back of the TV.

Additional features include Samsung Health App, Smart Trainer that tracks and analyzes posture in real time, Super Ultrawide GameView 32: 9 aspect ratio, Google Duo video chats, and PC on TV mode for connecting to PC TV and keyboard and mouse.

Pricing for the new Neo QLED TVs has yet to be announced. The start of sales can be expected in the spring.
