Bulgaria: After Warsaw, Gazprom Informs Sofia of Gas Outage

The Russian Gazprom informed the Bulgarian state gas distribution company Bulgargaz about the interruption of the gas supply from tomorrow Wednesday (27/4), as announced by the Bulgarian Ministry of Energy.

Bulgarian ministry says it has taken steps to find alternatives to procurement natural gas and situation management.

Stresses that at this stage no restrictions are needed on gas consumption in Bulgariawhich covers more than 90% of its needs with imports from Gazprom.

Earlier in the day, the Russian energy giant informed the Polish state oil and gas company PGNiG that it interrupts the supply of natural gas through the Yamal pipeline from 9 in the morning (Greek time) on Wednesday.

On her side, Polish company announces in advance that it has every right to claim compensation for breach of contract.
