Bulgaria: PM denies arms exports to Ukraine

Bulgaria has not exported weapons directly to Ukraine, Prime Minister Kirill Petkov told reporters today, noting that the government is strictly implementing the decision of the Bulgarian National Assembly.

“We have exported to some traditional partners, European Union countries, but there has been no direct transfer from Bulgaria to Ukraine,” Petkov said.

Speaking about the expected change of government after the motion of censure was passed against his government on June 22, Petkov said that the composition of the government will remain unchanged for the time being. “We are all a very cohesive team and we will continue in the same format.

“I do not want to talk about individual ministers until we have the support of independent MPs,” he added.

“We have made it clear that there are many people with whom we will not negotiate. These are Boyko Borisov himself, Mr. Peevsky and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, Konstantin Konstantinov and Slavi Trifonov. From what we can “To find out, Tosko Yordanov is not making a step or a statement without Slavi Trifonov’s permission. Unfortunately, we can not negotiate with him either. But we are ready to talk to everyone else,” he said.
