Two tons of marijuana transported next to a corn load on a bitrem trailer were seized by the São Paulo Federal Police last Wednesday (19). The seizure occurred at km 474 of Assis Chateaubriand Highway, in the city of Pirapozinho, in the interior of São Paulo.
According to police, the seizure caused a loss of more than $ 2.8 million to trafficking. In the load compartment of the last unit of the vehicle, they found 100 marijuana bales, totaling 2.1 tons, hidden in the middle of the corn load.
According to police, both loads would have been charged in Douradina, Mato Grosso do Sul. The destination would be the state capital, where the driver would earn a value for transportation. The man, without criminal record, also had two seized cell phones.
The occurrence was presented at the Presidente Prudente police station and the suspect was available to the court.
