Burger King Reports Whopper Ribs Doesn’t Have Ribs, But Ribs Scent

After the controversy with McPicanha, from McDonald’s, last week, this Monday (2), the Burger King chain informs that the Whopper Rib sandwich does not have a rib, but a “pork palette”, with “100% natural rib aroma. ”, according to a note released by the company.

According to the statement, Burger King “reinforces that since the launch of the product, it has always clearly presented in its communication and in all advertising materials and pieces, menus and official brand materials, the composition of the hamburger present in the sandwich”.

In an advertising campaign launched in 2021, the burger is said to be “rib-flavored”.

The sandwich has been sold online since late 2021. On the official website, the brand describes the product as a “pork burger with that unmistakable rib-eye aroma”.
