Three people were injured after a bus was hit by at least six shots on Tuesday night (21), in the neighborhood of Brás de Pina, in the north zone of Rio de Janeiro.
A female passenger was wounded in the back, while the bus driver and another passenger were injured by shrapnel.
The case happened around 11 pm on the bus that runs between the neighborhoods of Bonsucesso and Irajá. The shots hit the windshield of the vehicle, and the passengers tried to protect themselves by throwing themselves to the ground of the bus.
According to witnesses quoted by TV Globo, the shots would have come from criminals from rival factions who exchanged fire in the region. One of them even tried to take cover behind the bus door.
