Two suspects were shot during a confrontation with military police, on the afternoon of last Wednesday (30), on Avenida Brasil, near Viaduto Brigadeiro Trompowski, in the north of Rio de Janeiro. As determined by CNN after the exchange of gunfire, the criminals were arrested.
According to the Military Police, the agents were patrolling Avenida Brasil, when they identified suspicious movement inside a bus from company 1001, which was destined for the Charitas neighborhood, in Niterói.
The agents ordered the vehicle to stop and two men disembarked, shooting at the police. Then there was a confrontation.
During the operation, the criminals were injured by the police and taken to the Bonsucesso Federal Hospital.
In total, 21 cell phones, two revolvers and a replica pistol were seized. The incident was recorded as bodily injury, robbery inside a collective and private prison at the 21st Police Station in Rio de Janeiro.
THE CNN asked the Ministry of Health about the health status of the criminals, however, did not receive a response until the last update of this report.
