One Bus with 35 people on board Potted on the morning of Friday (4) in the region of Immigrante (RS), about 130 kilometers from Porto Alegre. The vehicle carried Students and teachers of the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) for a technical visit to the city’s cactan.
So far, the Fire Department confirms at least seven deaths . There is no information about the identities of the victims. Also according to the Fire Department, the bus took 31 students and three teachers, as well as the driver.
The Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) reported that students and teachers who were in the vehicle are students of the Polytechnic College Landscape course. UFSM sent a team to the place to accompany the rescue.
The university said it awaits confirmation of more information about the accident.
The accident occurred on the Rota do Sol access road, near a metallurgical industry. According to preliminary information, the vehicle left the track on the left side, lost its brakes and ended up descending a bluff.
The highway where the accident occurred was blocked in both directions to meet the occurrence.
