Business applications for the subsidy of 7,000 new jobs have started

Today, January 31, at 13:00, the submission of electronic business applications for the third cycle of the program of creating 7,000 new jobs for the unemployed aged 30 and over in the Less Developed Regions of the country (Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Western Greece, Epirus, Thessaly and Central Macedonia), with emphasis on the long-term unemployed and the unemployed aged 50 and over.

According to a post on the website for the NSRF, the program is aimed at private companies, the duration of the grant is 12 months and the amounts of the monthly salary subsidy and insurance contributions for hiring unemployed people in new full-time positions are as follows:

– 473 euros per month (5,676 euros per year) for the unemployed up to 49 years old

– 568 euros per month (6,816 euros per year) for the unemployed aged 50 and over

– 615 euros per month (7,380 euros per year) for the long-term unemployed

– 710 euros per month (8,520 euros per year) for the long-term unemployed aged 50 and over.

The aim of the action is to promote employment, especially for the long-term unemployed and the unemployed older whose permanent unemployment makes it difficult for them to re-enter the labor market.

The total budget of the program amounts to 44,000,000 euros and is co-financed by the European Social Fund, through the OP “Human Resources Development, Education and Lifelong Learning 2014-2020”.

It is pointed out that there is no employment commitment after the end of the program and simplified and faster integration and repayment procedures are provided. The subsidy of paid and non-paid expenses also includes the respective Christmas and Easter gifts and leave allowances.
