On the first day of global sales of the iPhone 14 line, the Internet was filled with photos of Chinese resellers: they literally sat on the sidewalk and sold novelties lying in ordinary grocery boxes – naturally, at inflated prices. However, this tactic seems to have failed: the first buyers of the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max said on Chinese social networks that they managed to cash in on dealers.
According to stories from Weibo (a local equivalent of Twitter), the first buyers of new products sold them to dealers with a markup of up to $ 250, but the very next day they bought the same sealed iPhones from them for only $ 15 more than the official price.
In social networks, there are stories of resellers themselves: one of them said that he bought 78 smartphones for 109 thousand dollars, but sold them over the weekend for 107.8 thousand dollars.
Apparently, the hype for the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max was not as big as the financial scammers expected. Or potential buyers this year have become more patient.
