Buying hryvnia via Settlepay and Advcash will no longer be available on Binance

From March 21, the Binance cryptocurrency exchange will restrict transactions with the hryvnia through the fiat gateways Settlepay and Advcash.

In a comment to ForkLog UA, representatives of the platform said that the purchase of the hryvnia would be suspended through both services. Hryvnia withdrawal via Settlepay remains possible.

“Due to recent restrictions, fiat channels, namely deposit and withdrawal through a bank card and other payment services, have been suspended throughout Ukraine. This decision is related to the fight against illegal gambling and, unfortunately, also affected cryptocurrency exchanges,” Binance noted.

The exchange team advised clients to conduct transactions through an internal P2P service.

In early March, cryptocurrency exchanges announced a temporary suspension of operations through hryvnia bank cards.

The founder of the Kuna cryptocurrency exchange, Mikhail Chobanyan, citing MP Alexei Zhmerenetsky, said that this was due to countering money laundering and tax evasion in the gambling industry.

The same reason was confirmed by Binance.
