Pope Francis asked on Sunday (16) by social networks prayers for people hit by various wars. The pontiff has been hospitalized for over a month in Rome to treat bilateral pneumonia (which reaches both lungs).
After talking about the gospel of the day, the Pontiff asked the faithful to pray for peace, keeping in mind the conflicts in Ukraine, Palestine region, Israel, Lebanon, Myanmar, Sudan and Democratic Republic of Congo.
Francisco also thanked the prayers so that he can recover quickly. The church leader has no forecast of discharge, but the Vatican points out that he is stable, which confirms progress in treatment.
“Our physique is weak, but still, nothing can prevent us from loving, praying, giving us, being present to each other, with faith, giving signs of hope,” wrote the Pope’s official profile in X.
“I would like to invite them today to join me to praise the Lord, who never abandon us and who, in times of pain, puts people with a radius of their love by our side,” he added.
