Bybit launches its own NFT trading platform

Cryptocurrency exchange Bybit announced the launch of a platform for “first-class NFT projects”, where it plans to attract well-known brands and world celebrities.

The NFT Marketplace platform, according to Bybit, will have to be different from existing sites that trade non-fungible tokens. Customers do not need to connect external wallets – they can use their existing Bybit accounts to purchase NFTs. In addition, the site promises to support NFTs based on different blockchains.

Blockchain game Monster Galaxy, art project ONBD and Realy Metaverse were the first to place their NFTs on the marketplace. In the future, the exchange plans to enter into exclusive contracts with both novice NFT artists and crypto veterans.

Bybit co-founder and CEO Ben Zhou is counting on the site’s success because, despite all the skepticism towards the NFT industry, it gives content creators ownership and a sense of control over the distribution of their work:

“We are excited to open our own NFT platform and allow our users to participate in the creation of a new market and a new world called the metaverse.”

Recall that in September last year, South Korea stopped the work of thirty-five cryptocurrency exchanges, including Bybit.
