Today, January 6, YungWang, which is the premium subsidiary of the Chinese automotive giant BYD, officially unveiled its new SUV called the U8, which has an impressive list of attractive features. For example, the manufacturer implemented an all-wheel drive system based on the Yisifang platform in an electric vehicle – each wheel of the SUV has its own motor with a torque of 320 to 420 Nm. Due to this, the electric car is able to accelerate from zero to hundreds in just 3 seconds – and this is with a decent weight and dimensions.
In addition, thanks to the technology of all-wheel drive and electric propulsion systems on each of the wheels of the SUV, the new vehicle allows you to turn 360 degrees literally on the spot, as well as move in the style of a “crab”. The company also said that the platform is smart and allows you to instantly stabilize the car if a tire bursts or there are problems with a faulty steering wheel while driving at high speed. Representatives of the brand noted that the vehicle in flat tire mode is able to continue driving at a speed of 120 km / h.

Another interesting feature of the YangWang U8 SUV is the degree of protection IP68 – the manufacturer emphasizes that the electric vehicle is protected from dust and water at a very high level. For this, for example, special seals are located throughout the body, which do not allow moisture to pass into the body and important components. As a result, the SUV is able to move even in water – the company did not provide exact data on this, but, apparently, the novelty will definitely be able to overcome a shallow river. Previously, interestingly, none of the major manufacturers of electric cars boasted an IP68 certificate.

The body of the SUV at the same time looks quite aggressive, although it also could not do without a modern design with huge running lights and smooth lines. YangWang U8 designers said they wanted to present a mixture of old-school SUVs and near-futuristic futuristic design – hence the boxy brake lights, a huge decorative grille and air intakes on the front of the roof. Unfortunately, the interior of the car has not yet been shown, and the manufacturer also does not name the approximate release dates. This is apparently still a long way off.
