C-130 crash in the Philippines: The black box of the C-130 was found

The principles of Philippines recovered the black box of the C-130 transport aircraft of the Air Force which crashed on Sunday resulting in more than 50 people lost their lives, Lt. Gen. Cyrilito Sobehana, chief of the Asian national defense’s general defense, told Reuters news agency today.

The pilot, extremely experienced in this type of aircraft, was killed in his crash on the island of Holo, said Lt. Gen. Sobehana, who spoke to Reuters by telephone.

According to the most recent report, overall 52 people, 49 soldiers and three civilians on the ground, were killed and another 51 were injured, broadcasts AMPE.

The shuttle, built by the American Lockheed, transported members of the armed forces who were to take part in operations against jihadists. He left the runway after landing at Holo Airport. The military said there was no indication that it had been attacked.

Sulu, 950 km south of the capital Manila, is the epicenter of the Abu Sayyaf jihadist group.
