It is in an old and cozy townhouse in Vila Madalena, that friends Adriano de Laurentiis and Guilherme Giraldi created the pier. The house, with an atmosphere that mixes nautical airs with a traditional construction – nowadays, scarce – in the bohemian neighborhood of São Paulo, presents an authentic, creative and welcoming cuisine, based on fish and seafood.
In March, Cais holds for the first time the event called “Bars“, a relaxed pub night, scheduled to take place once a month, on Mondays. The idea is that, in each edition, the restaurant receives a guest chefwho will take preparations of his own for the night.
Deconstructing the usual restaurant format, the proposal is to reduce the number of tables and chairs in the hall, encouraging customers to stand, as in a bar, and share the bites prepared for the event among their group.
The first edition takes place on the day 14th March and the guest will be the chef Gaius Alciatiin front of LosDos Taqueria. Among the special dishes for the evening, Caio takes gyoza with oyster mayonnaise and black pudding; steamed pork ribs with taucy sauce and chives; beef tongue sandwich with cabbage, red onion, turnip pickle and guacachile; grilled corn with miso butter and tajin; grilled eryngui with dry curd; and Nashville fried chicken, with buttermilk, chili oil, cilantro and chives.
