The camera coupled on a vigilante’s helmet recorded the moment when he was robbed and shot by two criminals in Itaim Paulista, in the east of São Paulo. The crime happened on the night of March 5, while the victim, a 43 -year -old man, was returning home.
During the theft, one of the criminals ordered the victim to keep his hands on the handlebar of the motorcycle and threatened to shoot. “It continues with your hand in the handlebars. Kills, ‘Pilot.’ Kill, ‘Pin’. Kill,” said one of the suspects for his partner. The video obtained by CNN captured the sound of three shots, of which two hit the vigilante.

After the attack, the criminals fled taking the victim’s motorcycle. Even wounded, the vigilante managed to ask for help in the concierge of the building where he lives. He was rescued and sent to São Luiz Hospital. Its state of health was not disclosed.
A 16-year-old teenager was seized in the act for theft on the night of last Wednesday (19), at Rua Miguel Martins Lisboa, in the east of the capital. Military police, during patrolling, identified the young man on a motorcycle, which had a recent complaint of theft and, after the approach, found his connection to a gang specializing in motorcycle theft.
During the procedures at the police station, the minor confessed to having participated, on March 5, in the attempted murder against the vigilante. The Public Security Secretariat (SSP) reported that the two stolen motorcycles were recovered and returned to the legitimate owners.
The teenager was sent to the Casa Foundation, and the steps continue to identify and arrest the second involved in the crime. The case was registered in the 50th Police District.
