A blizzard was captured on video by a camera at a weather station on Mount Washington — the highest point in the northeast region of the United States — in New Hampshire.
The temperature at the top of the mountain, where the observatory is located, reached -34°C, with gusts of over 150 km/h. The thermal sensation with the wind reached -63°C.
The images show the beginning of the night, at 5 pm, until the beginning of the afternoon of the other day, at 2 pm. It is possible to see the storm intensifying, especially during the night and early morning.
New Hampshire is a state located in the northeast of the USA, where there were already warnings for sub-zero temperatures. Thermometers should start to rise again in the region only on Sunday (5).
In New York, for example, the “blue code” was introduced this Friday (3), a measure that allows the homeless population to go to the emergency shelters of the city hall.
Several states, including New Hempshire, remain forecast for windy weather and subzero temperatures for the weekend.
