Camil Alimentos net profit increases 22.1% in the 3rd fiscal quarter of 2022

Camil Alimentos made a net profit of BRL 147.1 million in the third fiscal quarter of 2022, which ended in November last year, the company said this Thursday (12) after the market closed. The result represents an increase of 22.1% compared to the same period of the previous year, when the company had profited R$ 120.5 million.

Net revenue increased 14.4% in the same comparison, to R$ 2.6 billion. In the food segment Brazil, revenue increased 13.2%, to R$ 1.88 billion. The international food segment posted net revenue 17.7% higher, at R$718.3 million.

Ebitda (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) grew 54.4%, to R$ 309.8 million. The Ebitda margin increased by 3.1 percentage points to 11.9%.

In a statement, Camil highlighted the conclusion of the acquisition of Mabel in November and the licensing of the Toddy brand for cookies, marking the company’s entry into the biscuits category. “With the acquisition of Mabel, from the point of view of accounting management, we registered a gain in advantageous purchase in the period”, said the company.

Camil also informed that the board of directors approved the new share buyback program, which authorizes the buyback of up to 9 million shares within 18 months. In addition, the cancellation of 10 million treasury shares was approved. As a result, after the cancellation, the total number of common shares issued by the company will be 350 million shares.
