Camila Cabello opens up after breaking up with Shawn Mendes and says she feels lonely

The singer Camila Cabello reflected on her single life and stated that she feels lonely after ending her relationship with the singer Shawn Mendes . The former couple ended their relationship at the end of 2021, after spending two years together.

Camila Cabello conducted an interview with the magazine Puss Puss on Wednesday (21), where ftalked about her new songs and her current life – lonely, as she describes it – as a single woman . She stopped short of revealing that the tracks on her fourth studio album are about her breakup with Shawn Mendes, but she said it was about the feeling of loneliness that arose after the end .

“It's me sitting there with this feeling of realization that I feel very confused as a 26-year-old who really felt like I was in love with this person,” Camila said.

“Now I feel a little lonely, small and strange, but at the same time I'm an adult and I feel very strong in other areas of my life, but not in this one”, she said about her heartbreak.

Regarding the songs, the artist said that they will reflect a lot on this period of her life. “VYou can't really say it's a sad song, you can't really define it. But is a kind of wrestling with those feelings and really being present with a specific feeling and exploring it. I feel like a lot of the songs on the album are like that,” he revealed.

Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes had been dating for about two years when they announced the end of their relationship in a joint statement posted on Instagram in November 2021.

“Hey guys, we have decided to end our romantic relationship, but our love for each other as people is stronger than ever,” the statement reads.

“We started our relationship as best friends and we will continue to be best friends. We appreciate your support from the beginning and in the future.”
