Campaigns mobilize efforts for the final stretch before the 1st round of elections

Over the past few weeks, despite fluctuations, the numbers of voting intentions for the presidential elections recorded by different institutes have reinforced the trend of a polarized dispute, with Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) at the forefront, and Jair Bolsonaro (PL) second, according to election polls.

In the final stretch of the campaign, the PT candidate hopes to win a sufficient number of votes to define the elections in the first round, next Sunday (2). The current president, and candidate for reelection, seeks to reduce the opponent’s advantage and prolong the dispute until October 30, the date scheduled for the second round, if necessary.
