In addition, two short films selected by the Artistic Direction of the Exhibition were also screened during the evening: Closed Out – directed by Giorgio Testi and a cast consisting of Stefano Accorsi e Colin Firth – e Lou’s neighbor – directed by Victoria Lafaurie e Hector Albouker.

Closed Out is a project born from a meeting of the director – Giorgio Testi – with Stefano Accorsi and Colin Firth during the lockdown, designed and wanted above all to revive the theater, a symbolic place of the closure of 2020 and of the violent slowdown that the entertainment world has been forced to suffer. A tribute therefore, a message of strength from art for art, and above all a way to tell the viewer that nothing will ever be able to extinguish the desire to create, study, experiment and live.

Lou’s neighbor is the story of a beautiful girl named Lou, strong, wild and constantly torn between the sweetness of childhood and the problems of adulthood. Through the eyes of the very lover Vladimir, Victoria Lafaurie and Hector Albouker have immortalized in this extraordinary short movie all the power and at the same time the cruelty of teenage love.

Passion e creativity, essential elements in the creation of a cinematographic work, act as a Red string to the many events organized by Campari – Main Sponsor of the Exhibition for the fourth consecutive year – on the occasion of the 78th Edition of the Venice International Film Festival. «The Festival as a whole is going in a way that gives us optimism», explains Clarice Pinto, Campari’s marketing director, «In our DNA, there is the will to bet on new talents. We believe that even with 160 years behind us we need to constantly reinvent ourselves: only young people can lead us towards the future. So we decided to invest in projects like Fellini Foward, in which artificial intelligence joins cinema. Campari’s idea on a global level is to be more and more connected with cinema, through the concept of Red Passion. It is the passion that gives the impetus, talent is something that can be innate, but if the passion is lacking there is no possibility to go further. Our next goal is to bring people back to cinemas: at this exhibition we have found the enthusiasm of the public, which we hope will also spread to distribution and among people to return to the cinema ».
