A busy destination when the chill starts to appear in Sao Paulo, Jordan Fields, in Serra da Mantiqueira, has an intense schedule already in April.
In addition to the traditional Pinhão Festival, which started on the 15th of this month and continues until the 29th of May, the city wins this year the Art in Autumn – Fields: Colors & Cornersa series of shows that will be held at the Claudio Santoro Auditorium.
Starting with Paulinho da Violanext Saturday (4/23), the program continues with weekly presentations until June, and will feature Maria Rita, Zeca Baleiro, Sandra de Sa, Alcaeus Valença, Zélia Duncan and Paulinho Moska, Renato Teixeira, Chico Cesar & Geraldo Azevedo, Lenin and Gal Costa (25/6).
Tickets are being sold for R$ 40 (half-price) and R$ 80 (full price) and can be purchased through the Sympla website – proof of vaccination will be required.
The Pinhão Festival, organized by the Mantiqueira’s Kitchen Group, invited 20 restaurants and bars to innovate and create tasty recipes with pine nuts. Every year, the region organizes the event at the beginning of autumn, as the seed is one of the biggest symbols of the season.
Among the participants, traditional houses in Campos, such as the Dona Chica, which is located inside Horto Florestal in a charming and open environment, surrounded by greenery. The restaurant has created a canjiquinha with trout, pine nuts and shrimp (R$ 147), which serves up to two people.
the canteen Nonna Mimi, with 40 years of history, will have on the menu a pasta stuffed with ricotta, spinach and pine nuts (R$ 156 – two people). You can also go through Campos Grocery Store and try the gorgonzola risotto with candied pine nuts, served with a filet mignon with a panko flour crust and manioc chips with leek (R$92).
