A Campus Party Brazil, great festival of technology, entrepreneurship, science and disruption, begins 2024 edition this Tuesday (9). The event takes place until 12 pm on Sunday (14), at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo.
This year’s edition promises a program that aims to debate, in a democratic way, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) today.
“We are very pleased to be hosting the 16th edition of Campus Party in São Paulo,” said Tonico Novaes, CEO of Campus Party, in a press release. “This is an important milestone for us, as it serves as a catalyst for technological and economic development for the city. With over 100,000 visitors expected and countless activities, the event fosters a vibrant environment for the exchange of knowledge and innovative ideas, strengthening the city’s position as a leader in technology and innovation.”
Over six days, the event promises more than 400 lectures and activities 24 hours a day. Participants will be able to move between startup presentations , robotics competitions It is expert lectures in different areas of technology.
The event brings together an audience between 18 and 25 years old, who have the possibility of camping inside the Expo Center Norte.

Free space – “Open Area”
The Open Area, an open and free space for the general public, will be open from July 10 to 13, from 10 am to 8 pm. This year, one of the highlights is the Amazon Party Exhibition, which will provide an interactive and multisensory experience within the “Brazilian Amazon rainforest”.
Other highlights include the Game Party, an exhibition of retro video games, the Campus Play Arena, with eSports and electronic sports championships, RoboCore, with robot competitions, as well as workshops that demonstrate in practice the basic concepts of controlling a robot.
“The Open Area is the gateway for the public to learn about the technological universe that Campus Party can offer in a fun way and, thus, generate new campuseiros. In this edition, we are bringing several interactive attractions that take participants to real immersions. In addition, with the Campus Play Arena, we have the opportunity to meet new talents in the eSports universe, with the chance for the champions to participate in a show match against professional teams”, highlights the CEO of Campus Party.

The paid space, called “Arena”, will be filled with talks by special guests, workshops, hackathons, and various challenges.

During the six days, the paid spaces will welcome names such as Marcelo Tas, Fátima Pissarra, Ricardo Cappra, Peter Jordan, Angelica Olivera, Giulia Bordignon, Karina Tronkos, Gustavo Guanabara, Luisa Santos, Gilberto Silva, and Pyong Lee for different discussions about technology.
For the first time, the technology festival will also have a humanoid speaker. Sophia, a system created in 2015 by Hanson Robotics, has already spoken with celebrities such as Will Smith and Jimmy Fallon, in addition to having participated in a press conference held at the UN (United Nations) Conference. At the new edition of Campus Party Brazil, Sophia will be available to the public to talk and answer questions live.
Camping
Camping is nothing less than a space for greater conviviality where participants live the full-time experience, literally camping inside the event.
Launch of the 1st Artificial Intelligence Regulatory Framework Forum
The 16th Campus Party Brazil is also marked by the launch of the first forum on the Regulatory Framework for Artificial Intelligence.
According to information provided to the press by Francesco Farruggia, honorary president of the Campus Party Institute, the forum will be held over the next three years and starting with the national edition is strategic for the solid development of the debate on the use of AI.
“Campus Party Brazil is a catalyst for innovation, where participants can collaborate, exchange ideas and develop this debate on the implications of the use of AI. In addition, community engagement will play an important role in the usability of the new technology in society,” he pointed out.
