Zelensky asked the French leader if he could call back after the press conference, when a journalist asked if he had argued about Ukrainian children deported with US President Donald Trump.
A few minutes after what seemed like a surprise call, Zelensky told reporters that he had actually asked Macron, with whom he has “very close relationships” to postpone the call after the press conference.
