As the New York Times correspondent at the White House, Zolan Kanno-Youngs, writes, Trump only gave indefinite assurances on Monday that the United States will play a role in the guarantee of Ukraine’s security if Zelenski reached an agreement with Russian president Vladimir Putin. “We will make sure it succeeds,” Trump said at the beginning of a long -running meeting yesterday with Zelenski and a delegation of European leaders in the White House. “And I think if we manage to achieve peace, it will succeed.
