Another junction connecting Canada and the United States was blocked today by protesters opposed to the sanitary measures, Manitoba police said, as the blockade of the Abasador Bridge in Ontario continued for a fourth day.
“A demonstration involving many vehicles and agricultural machinery blocked the Emerson Crossing,” which connects Manitoba with North Dakota, according to police. “Vehicles can not be driven either to the south or to the north,” she added in a Twitter post.

White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said Wednesday that it was “important for everyone in Canada and the United States” to understand the potential impact on employees and the supply chain. Canadian federal government officials have called the blockade illegal and called on protesters to return to their homes.
On Wednesday, Ottawa police threatened to arrest and confiscate trucks blocking the city center. Only 23 arrests have been made since the beginning of the mobilization.
Some protesters moved to Ottawa International Airport, causing traffic jams, according to the city council.
