Mark Carney has been sworn in today by a new Canadian prime minister and immediately announced that he will seek to work with US President Donald Trump, who has threatened to impose duties on the neighboring country that will kneel the Canadian economy. He stressed, however, that Canada would never be a “part of the US” during his first official speech. “We will never, in any way, be part of the US,” he said, responding to Donald Trump’s repetitive statements about the possibility of Canada the 51st US state.
