A 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival starts this Tuesday (14th) and runs until May 25th. Over the next 12 days, dozens of films will be shown, several movie stars will walk the red carpet and thousands of people will walk through the halls of the Marché du Film.

The event has several attractions, such as shows, classes, tributes and exhibitions, with the Official Selection of films being the main one. Of the more than 50 titles shown at the festival, 20 compete for the Palme d'Or, one of the most prestigious awards in the film industry.

Documentary about Lula

A documentary about President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) will be shown at the festival and competes for the Olho de Ouro, an award for films of the genre.
