In the Un Certain Regard section they compete among others The Innocents by Eskil Vogt, After Yang in Kogonada, Commitment Hasan dei Hasan Semih Kaplanoglu, Fire night by Tatiana Huezo, Good mother by Hafsia Herzi e Work del regista Alexey German Jr..
The president of the jury that will award the Palme d’Or will be, as announced last year, director Spike Lee, while Jodie Foster will receive the Palme d’Or for Lifetime Achievement during the opening ceremony scheduled for 6 July.
