The Cannes Film Festival, one of the most famous and most important in the film industry, starts this Tuesday (13) in France. The event will continue the calendar started in January with Sundance, United States, and the Berlin Festival, which took place in February.

One of the main film events in Brazil, the Gramado Festival has been held annually since 1973 at the Festivals Palace, in the city named the event, in Rio Grande do Sul. National and international productions of Latin origin are displayed and compete for Kikito.

- Venice Festival – August 27th to September 6th
The oldest festival on the list, consequently one of the most traditional in the industry, is held annually in Italy and is part of the Venice Biennial. It has been happening annually since 1935 and has a selection of world -class films, including new productions by prestigious filmmakers, who often choose to release the film at the event.
The American filmmaker Alexander Payne He is the president of the jury of the 82nd edition and will be responsible for delivering the Golden Lion to the great winner of the year. The other members and more details have not yet been released.
- Toronto Festival – September 4-14
