Canon’s Japanese website has posted an apology for delaying pre-orders for the EOS R3 mirrorless camera and other new products. According to the manufacturer, orders exceed expectations, which, coupled with a shortage of components, leads to delays. The company promises to fulfill orders on a first come, first served basis, but warns that all pre-orders for the EOS R3 camera and RF14-35mm F4 L IS USM lens could take more than six months to complete.
For the RF16mm F2.8 STM, RF100-400mm F5.6-8 IS USM and RF400mm F2.8 L IS USM lenses, the ER-hE eyecup and the EW-65C hood, even such an approximate lead time has not been named.
Recall, for the first time that the Canon EOS R3 camera and Canon RF16mm F2.8 STM and RF100-400mm F5.6-8 IS USM lenses will have to wait, the manufacturer announced back in September, just a few days after the official announcement of their release.
