The Cantareira System – the main water reservoir in Greater São Paulo – officially started operating in the restriction range, reaching 28.4% of its capacity volume this Wednesday (3).
According to Sabesp, the reservoir enters a state of restriction if it registers a volume below 30% on the last day of the month. On October 31, Cantareira was already operating below 30% – it was 28.1%.
