The capital of São Paulo and the entire Metropolitan Region are on alert for flooding this Wednesday afternoon (22). In addition to the forecast for flooding, gusts of wind may also occur.

According to the Climate Emergency Management Center (CGE), areas of instability coming from the interior, that were formed by the heat and the entry of the sea breeze continue to act with moderate intensity and slow movement in the city.

All areas of the city, including the Center and the Marginals, have been under attention since 4:44 pm.

According to the agency, meteorological radar images show moderate rain in the East, Southeast and West zones.

According to the state’s Civil Defense, “the rain entered the western region of Greater SP, with the municipalities of Itapecerica da Serra and Embu-Guaçu recording the highest rainfall in recent hours”.

Capital left a state of alert at 7:07 pm, according to Civil Defense.
