Applications for the 5th cycle of the CapsuleT Travel & Hospitality Accelerator Program continue unabated until Thursday, June 23, 2022. This is the leading program that comes to help Greek technology start-ups active in tourism to develop their services / products and receive the support they need.
The main goal of the program is to offer substantial support and guidance through the free content-rich program, which meets the business needs of startups and at the same time to provide practical training opportunities, industry connection – with hotel owners, executives and representatives and tourism businesses – but also useful tools on how they can be upgraded and meet market demands.
Its duration is 5 months, during which the selected start-ups – in addition to their participation in the program – can use the accelerator offices free of charge with the possibility of extending their period of use for an additional 3 months after the end of the program.
Which categories of tourism do the participations concern?
Eligible are those companies that provide technological applications and solutions for the Hotel and Catering industry, the field of tourist transport / smart transport (smartcities / mobility), search engine reservations and e-tourist offices, tourist and cultural activities / tours / events, as well as those companies that provide applications and services for sustainable development, saving food, energy and natural resources, accessibility solutions or specialized communication and promotional solutions.
Indicatively, the categories to which they can belong to join the program are: Internet & web platforms, Mobile apps, Chatbots, Software, Hardware, Energy solutions, Mobility & Transportation solutions, Blockchain / Fintech solutions, AI solutions, Big Data, Internet of Things.
Which leading companies support startups
The 5th cycle of the Acceleration Program will take place as always with the valuable contribution and sponsorship of Google, as the gold sponsor of the program, participating in parallel with training workshops and mentoring, the non-profit organization The People’sTrust, which will support for the second consecutive year the further development of technological startups in the tourism industry and will support the competitive part of the program by offering cash prizes for the 3 winners and Aegean Airlines, as the official carrier of the teams.
Important and practical strategic partners of the accelerator actions are also: NBG Business Seeds, Nelios, PwC, TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas and Programize.
At the same time, the CapsuleT team reunites its forces with recognized startups in the tourism market such as ClioMuse Tours, Ferryhopper, Triparound, Welcome Pickups, Workathlon and Wooftogether, which joined the program as community partners.

The cash prizes
With the completion of the 5th Acceleration cycle, the companies are competing for the final prizes totaling € 40,000 – as an additional financial support – and for free services / benefits from the CapsuleT community’s strategic partners. The rating of the prizes that will be given by the non-profit organization The People’sTrust to the winners of the 5th round of CapsuleT are: 1st prize of 10,000 euros, 2nd prize of 5,000 euros and 3rd prize of 3,000 euros. In addition, the remaining teams that will successfully complete the program and reach the final, will receive financial support of 2,000 euros from CapsuleT.
