The cargo ship involved in the collision with an aviation fuel tanker on Monday (10), on the northeast coast of England, remains on fire, the British Coast Guard said on Tuesday (11).
“Solong is still on fire and the fire aboard the immaculate steen has decreased a lot,” the coastal guard said in a statement.
The report continued to explain that safety ships and other vessels “with fire -fighting capacity follow on site and will receive reinforcements today.”
The ships involved are the 49,729 tons of gross, 49,729 tons, with US flag and the Solong-contained table, 9,322 DWT, with Portuguese flag.
The oil tanker is one of 10 in a US government program designed to provide fuel to the armed forces when necessary.
At least 32 people were brought to land with ambulances waiting to take them to the hospital in Grimsby, said the executive president of the east by Grimsby port by e-mail.
