«Carla»: Alessandra Mastronardi becomes Carla Fracci for Raiuno

After having lent her face to Lucrezia Donati in the de The doctors, Alessandra Mastronardi nails the draped skirts and prepares to put on the pointy shoes. It will do it in Carla, the new TV movie directed by Emanuele Imbucci which will see her in the role of the greatest Italian dancer of all time: Carla Fracci. Produced by Gloria Giorgianni with Fabio Scamoni together with Rai Fiction – Anele, the film, which we will see soon on Raiuno, will retrace the fundamental stages of Fracci’s life and career inspired by her autobiography Step by step – My story, published by Mondadori.

Fracci herself, together with her husband Beppe Menegatti and their historical collaborator Luisa Graziadei, will offer valuable advice so that Carla bring back her history and achievements as faithfully as possible, from her childhood in the immediate postwar period to her adolescence in Milan in the 1950s, up to her rise in the world of dance and the difficult choice of becoming a mother in a very delicate moment of his career. Instinct, passion and challenge are the main ingredients of this production who has already hit the first take in Rome and Orvieto.

In the coming days, the set will move to Milan and, in particular, to Teatro alla Scala which, for the first time, will open the doors to a fiction allowing you to turn inside its spaces to celebrate the woman who New York Times defined in 1981 as “the absolute prima ballerina”. For Mastronardi it is, of course, a very difficult task that will allow her to touch all the strings of her artistic professionalism and her talent. Carla is written by Graziano Diana and Chiara Laudani, with the collaboration of Emanuele Imbucci and Fabio Scamoni.
