Carla Bruni debuts on the market with her alcohol-free wine: it’s called «L’Excessive», like one of his songs from a few years agoand is a non-alcoholic sparkling wine available in white (made with Moscato) and rosé (with a blend of Moscato and Merlot).
The operation, assures the former model and former première dame of France, is not just a way to commercially take advantage of a growing trend, that of no and low alcohol drinks. In fact, Excessive contains a positive message, of push towards a healthier and more balanced lifestyle, and fight against addictions. Like the problem of alcohol, which Carla Bruni faced last year during her interview on «Belve» with Francesca Fagnani, explaining that she had almost completely stopped drinking. Thus, perhaps the idea of creating an alcohol-free wine was born from his newfound passion for sobriety.
“In fact, to maintain sobriety I think the best thing is to feel present to yourself, that is, to find joy not outside with people, friends, meetings, parties and alcohol, but inside the house,” he said Carla Bruni in a French interview with the magazine Gala. «When you can find this axis of vitality and joy within yourself, alcohol really becomes a sort of parallel element. This is what I like about L’Excessive: although it is a sparkling wine, it does not contain that artificial thing that sometimes gives us artificial joy.”
Carla Bruni’s alcohol-free wine (sold at a cost of 29 euros per bottle) is produced in Château d’Estoublonwonderful and historic estate in Provence, famous for its wines and purchased years ago by Carla Bruni and Nicolas Sarkozy.

Carla Bruni is not new to wine production: years ago, in fact, she created Roseblooda rosé that had some success with the public and critics. It was, then, a “traditional” wine: those were not yet the times of alcohol-free wine, which today fills our lives with debates and initiatives that invite us to moderate alcohol consumption, such as Dry January. Also Carla will be Dry January, by the way. «I would also do Dry February, and even Dry March», he declared jokingly.
