The Bahian singer Carlinhos Brown 61, will perform a free show accompanied by the Ouro Preto Orchestra at Paulista Avenue , in the center of São Paulo, on May 26th, starting at 11am. The concert aims to unite the singer's Afro-Brazilian rhythms and the eccentric versatility of the group from Minas Gerais.
Conducted by maestro Rodrigo Toffolo, artistic director and chief conductor of the orchestra, Brown's work will be explored using the berimbau, percussion and brass, as well as violins and cellos.
The event will take place in front of the Cidade São Paulo shopping mall, close to the Fiesp building (Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo).
Avenida Paulista is closed to cars on Sundays from 9am to 4pm. This way, the show will not disrupt local traffic.
