Carlotta Rossignoli, graduated in record time in Medicine, closes her Instagram profile

His Instagram profile, with nearly 50,000 followers, has been closed, at least for now. Carlotta Rossignoli, tired of the controversy about her degree in Medicine, achieved in record time (5 years and a month) with the most brilliant grade (110 cum laude and honorable mention) at the San Raffaele in Milan, has disappeared from the social network. At 23, Carlotta Rossignoli is one of the youngest medical graduates in Italy: she was accused of being favored in the attainment of the title.

Some classmates wrote a letter addressed to the president of the international degree course Andrea Salonia and the dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery Flavia Valtorta, asking «Why haven’t we been offered the same opportunity? Where does this exception come from? How could he have done several courses in several years together? We would like an explanation ». According to them, it is impossible to achieve a degree in Medicine by “burning” the minimum necessary technical times.

But Carlotta Rossignoli has always reiterated that he was not given an advantage and to have always taken his open-door exams.

On Instagram, between one study session and another, he published stories that showed her glam life, between holidays in prestigious destinations, accessories from expensive brands and clothes that enhanced her statuesque body. To the Courier he explained: «I enjoy it a lot but these are things I do on the fly, I publish photos and videos as they come, without care. My mom or cousin and the friends I hang out with make them. Sometimes they tell me look that you are disheveled here, you can see the rimmel over there, I let it go, blogging is not my job“.

And again: «I am pleased when someone is added and if they comment, it means that they appreciate. But it’s a bit like the fashion of the moment and above all it’s not my job. I like it but it doesn’t have to take up too much space. I hope to convey something positive, give ideas, encourage to achieve dreams. However, I do not consider myself an influencer and I think that now I will loosen my grip on social media a little. I have a clear idea of what to do when I grow up: the doctor. My life is study, research, work and a bit of sport. I always keep in mind Socrates: “A life without research is not worth living” ». In fact, at least for the moment, his profile is no longer reachable: social networks can wait.
