Carmen Lúcia sends PGR to say whether or not she will investigate Bolsonaro in the case of Milton Ribeiro

Cármen Lúcia, minister of the STF (Federal Supreme Court) sends the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) to say whether or not it will investigate Jair Bolsonaro (PL) in the case of former Minister of Education, Milton Ribeiro.

“The Attorney General’s Office […] Subsequently, return the files to me immediately concluded”, said the minister in her order on the PGR’s request for a position.

On Sunday (26), Bolsonaro returned to defend Ribeiro, who was arrested on June 22 on suspicion of irregularities in the release of funds from the portfolio. He was released the next day and denies the allegations.

According to the president, there are “no minimal signs of corruption” in the case, and the former minister “was unfairly arrested”. The statements were made in an interview with Programa 4 por 4.

Two days earlier, Ribeiro appears in an audio report telling his daughter that he would be the target of a search and seizure, information that the former Minister of Education would have obtained through a call received from Bolsonaro, the opposition will go to the STF against the President of the Republic, pointing out, among other crimes, obstruction of justice.
