Camisa Verde e Branco announced, on Thursday (4), that it will have the singer Cazuza as the theme of its plot for the 2025 Carnival.
The announcement was made with a publication on the school's official Instagram and on the Rio singer's page. The group's parade will be signed by Cahê Rodrigues, a carnival artist marked by visits to schools such as Acadêmicos do Grande Rio, Portela and Imperatriz Leopoldinense, who will make his debut at the school in the next Carnival.
“It will be a memorable celebration, full of emotion, where every detail will bring us even closer to the beating heart of our history”, says the caption of the publication.
However, there is still no clear title or outline of what the school in Barra Funda, a neighborhood in the west of São Paulo, will present at the Anhembi Sambadrome. As Lucinha Araújo, Cazuza's mother, said in the publicity video, the details will be shared at the plot launch party, which will take place in May.
“It is with great honor that I received this communication, which I loved. Now in May will be the official launch of the plot, I hope you follow along”, said Lucinha.
The material also features Sandra de Sá, Gilberto Gil and Flora Gil, friends of Cazuza, as well as his cousin.
The tribute to Cazuza will not be the first in Cahê's career, who has already written stories about Xuxa (Caprichosos 2004), Zico (Imperatriz 2014), Zezé Di Camargo and Luciano (Imperatriz 2016) and Ruth de Souza (Santa Cruz 2019).
Nor will it be an unprecedented feat for Camisa, who come from a 12th place achieved with a plot that contained a tribute to the football player Adriano Imperador. The school has also had parades about singer Elymar Santos, country singer Orlando Villas Bôas, João Cândido, Mário de Andrade and Carlinhos Brown.
