Carnival 2025: Grande Rio chooses samba for the next parade; listen

The samba school Grande Rio Academics chose, in the early hours of last Sunday (29), the samba that he will take to the Marquis of Sapucaí in 2025 .

During the competition, the association from Duque de Caxias, in Baixada Fluminense, which will pay homage to the state of Pará, held a selective event among the schools in Pará.

The champion is from the Deixa Falar school, and has Mestre Damasceno, Ailson Picanço, Davison Jaime, Tay Coelho and Marcelo Moraes in the list of composers. Listen below.

Signed by Gabriel Haddad and Leonardo Bora, the school promises to delve into the Carimbó universe based on the plot “Pororocas parawaras: the waters of my charms in the curimbós accounts”.

The tricolor association’s proposal is based on the song “Quatro Contas”, by Dona Onete, to talk about the enchanted entities that live in the pororocas, where the waters of the river meet the sea.
