Presenter Thelminha was announced, on Saturday (16), as one of the muses of Acadêmicos do Salgueiro for the 2025 Carnival. The BBB 20 champion will make her debut with the group in the Andaraí neighborhood, in the north of Rio de Janeiro.
The doctor will do double duty, as she will also parade at Mocidade Alegre, a school in São Paulo that she has been a part of since before she became famous. There, Thelminha also parades as a muse.
“In 2025, I will complete 20 years as a samba dancer, and celebrating this moment by being part of the Salgueiro parade is a true dream. It’s a great honor to arrive in this community that I admire so much. A strong and representative plot, a wonderful samba; I’m already counting down the days until the parade”, declared the former BBB member.
The announcement was made during Salgueiro Convida Mocidade Alegre, a traditional event on the calendar of the nine-time Carnival champion group in which it welcomes, week after week, other samba schools to its court.
For 2025, Salgueiro will take to Sapucaí the plot “Salgueiro de Corpo Fechado”, written by carnival artist Jorge Silveira and plot artist Igor Ricardo. The club is looking to break a 16-year streak without titles, as it last won in 2009.
