The champion samba school of Carnival 2024 in Rio de Janeiro will be defined in the counting that takes place this Wednesday (14th) starting at 4pm.
The event will be broadcast live on TV Globo and Globoplay from 3:55 pm. The streaming service can be accessed through applications on cell phones and televisions, in addition to the website itself.
The fourteen groups that crossed Marquês de Sapucaí on Sunday (11) and Monday (12) entered the track with maximum marks and will receive discounts according to the problems they present in the nine items evaluated along the avenue.
Schools are evaluated by four sets of nine jurors (one for each item) spread across three different judging points in Marquês de Sapucaí.
The lowest grade assigned to each school in each item will be discarded. At the end of the counting, the first six placed will be accredited to return to the Parade of Champions, on Saturday (17), and the last placed will be demoted and will march in the Gold Series in 2025.
