THE TV Globo announced, on Wednesday night (16), how the coverage of samba school parades at Carnival 2025 . The main changes are the reinforcement of journalists in the broadcast team and the return of the separation of the teams that will work in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
This year, for the first time in history, the samba schools of the Grupo Especial in the capital of Rio de Janeiro will be divided into three nights of parades, which, added to the two in São Paulo, give five consecutive days of live broadcasting. However, there are still no confirmations regarding the reporting team which, in 2024, was also made up of influencers.
In 2025, narrator Everaldo Marques and presenter Valéria Almeida, who has already been part of the team of attractions such as Encontro, Profissão Repórter and Bem-Estar, join veteran Aílton Graça in showing the São Paulo parades. In Rio de Janeiro, the new addition is presenter Mariana Gross, who had already led the broadcast of Série Ouro (second division of Rio’s festivities) and was part of the team of reporters who covered the Grupo Especial parades. She joins Alex Escobar and Karine Alves, who have already broadcast this year’s processions, and Milton Cunha, who will be responsible for the comments. Globo also confirmed another edition of “Carnaval da Sabrina”, a production that shows behind the scenes of Sabrina Sato’s marathon during the momo revelry. The drum queen of Gaviões da Fiel and Unidos de Vila Isabel has already confirmed that, even though she is expecting her second child, she will not stop parading in 2025.
Another new feature is the expansion of Glô na Rua, which promises to have more than 12 hours of coverage with live broadcasts and flashes. Rita Batista runs the attraction directly from Salvador and will show Carnival in 10 states. Galo da Madrugada and Homem da Meia Noite will also be shown live in Pernambuco.
