THE Grande Rio samba school, second in Rio de Janeiro Carnival in 2025 communicated on its social networks on Thursday (6) that will resort to the announced notes of the calculation of the parades that Defined Beija-Flor as champion of the year .
The statement says that the group “will question all inconsistencies during the official plenary of the entity with the groups of the special group, which will take place on Friday (7)”.
The association said that on the LIESA website (independent samba schools in Rio de Janeiro), the battery grades were different from those announced during the calculation ceremony on Wednesday (5).
“Two grades were read 9.9 and two notes 10 for our association, different from Thursday afternoon on Liesa’s official website, where there is a 9.9 and three notes 10, the last in the fourth Judges Module, granted by Geiza Carvalho,” wrote in the post caption.
According to the text published by Grande Rio, with the values released on the Rio de Janeiro Carnival Organization page, the association would tie with Beija-Flor, defining both as champions of 2025.
“We reiterate our total respect for the entity, our sisters and, especially, to the community and fans of our school. We will always be looking for clarification of any fact that can impact the transparency of our carnival, ”concluded the statement.

After defining the results, Master Fafá, who commands the Battery of the Academics of Grande Rio, apologized to his community because the question commanded by him was the only one who did not bring the maximum grade to the school, which eventually took the title from the association.
The calculation of the grades of the samba schools of the carnival of Rio de Janeiro took place this Wednesday of Ash (5) and defined hummingbird as champion of the special group 2025. In second and third place were the Greater Rio and Empress associations.
