The heavy rains that hit the city of São Paulo caused disturbances in the capital and in the metropolitan region this Tuesday (6).
The Fire Department informs that, until the beginning of the night, it received 51 calls related to the storms, 46 for falling trees, two for flooding or flooding and three for landslides or landslides. According to the corporation, there were no casualties.
Around 7 pm, the city was in a state of attention for flooding in all regions, according to the Climate Emergency Management Center of the City of São Paulo (CGE).
At 10 pm, the state Civil Defense reported the occurrence of “persistent rain” in the municipalities of Mogi das Cruzes, Guararema and Santa Isabel, in Greater São Paulo, in addition to the east zone of the capital. About half an hour earlier, wind was reported in the cities of Osasco, Carapicuíba and Barueri, also in the metropolitan region.
In the neighborhood of Moema, in the south zone of São Paulo, residents filmed cars partially covered by water. The images were recorded in the Alameda dos Jurupis, which connects the Bandeirantes and Indianópolis avenues.

Attention during the morning
According to CGE meteorologists, the weather should remain unstable in the capital of São Paulo in the next few hours, with “intermittent rains of up to high intensity”.
