The Pernambuco Court authorized the Civil Police to temporarily display luxury vehicles seized in Operation Integration, which resulted in the arrest of influencer Deolane Bezerra and investigates suspicions of money laundering and illegal gambling.
The decision was taken by judge Andrea Calado da Cruz, from the 12th Criminal Court of the Capital of the Court of Justice of Pernambuco (TJPE), on Wednesday (30), and confirmed to the CNN this Thursday (31).
The Civil Police stated that the vehicles will not be used in operations and that the responsibility for their maintenance will be the responsibility of the institution itself.
According to the corporation, the initiative has an educational effect, showing the population, especially children and teenagers, the work of the police in combating white-collar crimes. According to the police, similar actions are already carried out by other institutions, such as the Federal Police.
With authorization, vehicles such as a Lamborghini, valued at almost R$4 million, and a Ferrari Purosangue, valued at R$7 million, may be displayed indoors at the General Police Station and at institutional events.
The decision is valid for seven months.
